Championship of Virginia at VIRginia International Raceway
The top Superbike racers in North America return to VIRginia International Raceway, May 4-6, after a highly successful third year with the always improving 2018 MotoAmerica Series. The facility, which returned in 2014 to host Superbike racing after a four-year hiatus, has long been a favorite of riders and fans alike. Although there are several layout options at VIR, the MotoAmerica series will use the 2.25-mile North Course.
Coming off an amazing party at the MotoAmerica Suzuki Championships at Road Atlanta, Maxim Magazine is also excited to slip on some daisy dukes and come down to the races for some BBQ, red cup beverages, and of course, amazing country music. Models will host the Maxim MotoAmerica M2 Lounge, but the fun won’t be locked in there. Playing the event after the races on Saturday May 5 are:
High Valley: With their song “She’s With Me” in the top 10 of the Billboard Country Charts, High Valley is one of the top country music acts to see right now.
Chase Bryant: One of the most celebrated new artists in today’s country music landscape, 24-year-old Chase Bryant was raised in Orange Grove, TX (pop. 1,200). Bryant’s second consecutive hit “Little Bit of You” rose to #3 on the country radio charts. His guitar- wielding Top 10 debut single “Take It On Back” spent 15 consecutive weeks on the country charts.
Larkin Poe: Rolling Stone magazine called Larkin Poe one of the top country acts to watch this year, and watch them we will. The Atlanta-born roots rock sisters are taking the young country scene by storm, with an edgy, authentic sound that comes across best live.
Annie Bosko: Annie is a Southern California farm girl (yes, there are those) who transplanted herself to Nashville to follow her dream of becoming a country music artist. Luckily, her beauty is only out-shined by her talent, and she too is getting some serious recognition by the CMA, CMT and Taste of Country.
Camp out on thousands of acres of beautiful rolling Virginia hills, wake up in the morning to some of the fastest athletes in the world, lunch of some good Southern BBQ and finish off with one of the best lineups this side of Nashville. To quote George Jones, “It don’t get any better than this.”
Children 12 and under are free with an accompanying paid adult ticket.
