Join us for Safari Gala on January 28th, 2023.

A red carpet and coat check will welcome you as you enter The HeART Department, our gorgeous venue located in the Los Angeles Arts District. We invite you to adorn yourself in African and tribal-inspired evening attire to honor the theme of the event and show your support for Vegan Orphans Support Organization. Photo ops will be offered throughout the evening with professional photographers present to capture the magic.

The festivities will include a delectable plant-based buffet curated in partnership with Garden Gourmet and VidaGladness for this very special event.
Unique tribal-inspired musical performances by The Venice Drum Circle, Secret Society, and Drumdala featuring Luna Achiary.
Shop to your heart's content! Vendor marketplace will be open from 5pm to 10pm.

Dinner will be followed by live performances, an augmented reality interactive art display by award-winning artist Kayla Silber, live body painting performance by artist Matt Deifer, community drum circle and dancing to the tribal beats presented by Secret Society, The Venice Drum Circle, and Drumdala featuring Luna Achiary.
Dessert accompanied by mocktails as we present a video screening and very special introduction to Vegan Orphans Support Organization.

Founded by Kalanzi Vicent with support from his dedicated team of fellow earth angels, Vegan Orphans Support Organization was established to improve the welfare of orphans and other vulnerable children in Uganda by providing for their basic needs, psychological support, and to empower critically vulnerable families economically through the provision of income generating projects and initiatives to uplift the community, and to promote children's rights as well as animal welfare throughout the country of Uganda. More than 30 orphaned children have sought refuge at this safe haven, and currently reside there. The orphanage doubles as an animal sanctuary, making this refuge a vital and sacred resource for the community as well as the many souls who depend on it for food, shelter, love and compassion. In September of 2022, the organization received official designation as a registered non-profit CBO, registration number MAA/326/2022.

This is an alcohol-free event. Children are welcome. No cigarette smoking is allowed on the premises or anywhere near to the venue in order to protect the health, safety and comfort of our guests. Special allergy considerations will be taken & ingredient lists will be available for all buffet items. Nut-free and gluten-free options will be plentiful. Some raw options will be available. Buffet is entirely vegan, plant-based and made with abundant love. Produce is locally and ethically sourced whenever possible. Venue is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible due to stairs at the entrance. Tickets are non-refundable. 100% of event proceeds will be donated to Vegan Orphans Support Organization, CBO non-profit focusing on saving orphans and animals, based in Kampala, Uganda.
