Hello friends. It's time to get down for the cause. While we dance to the music of an eclectic mix of some of the best DJs from all around the world, we'll be raising money for Serve Your City, a D.C mutual aid group and nonprofit that has been serving the residents of Ward 6 for over a decade.
This evening will feature DMV local, Choppy Oppy, sending us on a journey through sounds that will make you question what you think you know about electronic music and dubstep, Vincent Antone, from Texas, whose boundless style combines elements of future funk, hip hop, future bass, house, trap, and everything in between, Mexico native, Fátima,
who frequently plays Flash and the Red Room, sprinkling that spicy sazón onto her ever tasty, groovy, percussive, driving and feisty beats, and Matthew Cha, from Mars, aided by his saxophone, serving up the funkiest technojazz beats.
Starting at 10 p.m, Professor Esporonto Bean, professor of dance at American University, with over 20 years of experience in the street dancing community, will be leading participants in a free house dance workshop. You won't want to miss this opportunity to learn from the best. Get there on time!
When you're not busting down on the dance floor, you can check out our art vendors or have your body painted in glow paint, by Chameleocreations. Feel free to bring your flow toys and a positive outlook.
