Whakairiora Fundraising Evening Cruises 2 (21st Jan)

NEW DATE Friday 21st January 2022 - Due to adverse weather conditions, this is now taking place on Friday 21st January 2022.

As part of fundraising efforts to purchase the remaining 69 hectares consisting of the southern end of Ngunguru Sandspit Pī Manu and the maunga Whakairiora, Dive! Tutukākā is offering two chartered evening cruises on the Perfect Day on Monday 10th and Friday 14th January from 6-8pm.

Each trip will accomodate 75 passengers. Passengers are welcome to bring any refreshments, including alcohol, on the trip. Check in is at 5.30pm at the Dive! Tutukaka Shop and Perfect Day will leave the dock at 6pm.

The cruise will head south from Tutukākā harbour to Ngunguru Sandspit Pī Manu and towards Horahora. It will give a wonderful opportunity to take in all of the undeveloped landscape which is at stake.

Tickets are on sale for $135 including fees, of which $100 will be donated to preserve this heritage for generations to come.

We need to raise $1.5 million by mid February to secure the purchase. Please come on board and be part of spreading the word across the country to help raise the much needed funds!
