The Tapuaeharuru Bay Classic Fishing Comp is back for 2024 Saturday 22 June.

Hosted by The Two Mile Bay Sailing Club, one of New Zealands best venues our fishing comps are an awesome day out on the Great Lake Taupo with friends and family.

The rules are simple you must only fish in Tapuaeharuru Bay, the boundary is the outer Wharewaka Point two hundred meter buoy and the Rangitira Point 200 meter buoy and north to the lakefront.

Major Prize Closest To Average Weight (Total weight divided by total number of trout weighed in)

Major Prize Best Instagram / Facebook photo (must tag @2miletaupo and use #2mile2good)

Major Prize based on overall best condition factor.

Biggest Trout Overall

Biggest Rainbow overall

Best Condition factor-YOUTH

Massive Spot Prizes pool

Each angler can weigh in TWO trout only and will need to pick either heaviest, closest to average weight or best condition factor

Registrations close 10pm Friday June 21, either through Ticket Fairy or at Two Mile Bay Sailing Club

Briefing 6.00pm Friday June 21. Major spot prize draw and loads of giveaways for those who get there early.

Adult entry fee $49+BF includes a Peroni

Family $99 +BF Includes 2 Peroni's (2 adults and all of your kids that are under 14, must be from same family)

Youth (under14) $29+BF

Live entertainment Friday night after briefing.

Weigh station open from 2pm-4pm 22 June

Prize giving 5.30/6.00pm Saturday.

Note this year we will be having a shotgun start at 6.30am from out the front of the Two Mile Bay Sailing Club for those who want to attend, this is not mandatory and you can still enter if you wish to start later.

All entrants must have a current fishing licence and produce at weigh ins.

This will be held on Saturday June 22nd and all forms of trout fishing are fine. Boat, kayak or shore.

Please not we take the spread and threat of Golden Clams very seriously, if you are coming from out of the area for this event please contact Dydimo Dave 0272409603 who will put a personalised plan together for you so you dont bring these unwanted clams to Lake Taupo unintentionally
