RUEBIK (AKL) ft. INTERCEPT (AKL) -- RUEBIK --
After years of producing and honing his sound Ruebik, also known as Ruach Oosthuizen, began to attract attention in early 2020 by winning the NZ Music month competition hosted by TooCut and George FM. His track ‘Losing Myself’ was praised “as a masterclass of production and uniqueness” and got signed by Onesevenfour Records.
Since then, Ruebik’s rise to prominence has been nothing short of remarkable with the artist amassing over 140,000 streams across all music platforms and on top of that has already self-released his EP ‘Synchronised’. 2020, saw Ruebik self-release his track ‘falling’ which has been tearing up the dance floors since and has notched up an impressive 30,000 streams across all platforms. While towards the back-end of 2021, Ruebik had his biggest production breakthrough yet with his debut release ‘Pretend’ on the Prototypes’ ‘Get Hyped’ record label. The track also featured on ‘UKF’ and hit number 9 on the UKF top 100 with a total of over 80,000 streams to date across all platforms which further cemented him as one of New Zealand’s most exciting bass music exports.
His diverse and unique production has earned him the support of bass music giants such as Netsky, the Prototypes and many more. While he has also made several appearances on New Zealand’s radio waves with guest appearances on George FM, Pulzar FM and Shuffle FM.
With slots already played alongside some of the biggest names in drum and bass music such as Bou, Ben Snow, Millbrook, Just a Gent, Mt Eden, Gray, Kelvin 373, Blaine Stranger, Dutta, Crossy and more Ruebik has truly dominated the New Zealand club circuit.
His big show mentality has also notched him appearances at New Zealand’s premier summer festival Rhythm & Vines and multiple appearances at Auckland’s Studio the Venue where the producer and DJ has played to thousands of people.

First foraying into DJing in 2009, Intercept has been steadily honing his craft as a producer. With his household bangers such as his calibrate remix and black lotus, Intercept is proving to be sure-fire hits on New Zealand’s thriving club circuit. With an official remix for Teddy Killerz and support from UKF and Noisia already under his belt, he’s fast proving himself to be a rising star, with his signature fusion of techstep intricacies and neuro bassweight making him a force to be reckoned with.
As the producer and DJ looks towards the rest of 2022 and 2023 things look like they are going to continue to be busy for Ruebik rather than slowing down as he prepares to showcase his brand new music that he has been sitting on to electrify crowds in NZ and soon beyond…
