KM 4.5 @ CRANIA - San José del Cabo - Fort Romeau, Moses, Litos
- Elizabeth A
Springtime brings us back behind the decks with Kilometro 4.5’s music experience held at Crania along the coast of Baja in San José del Cabo.
This is chapter two in our collaboration with our friends at Crania in their bespoke landscape composed of elements they boldly describe as Post-funk-tionalism.
Gather with Kilometro 4.5’s creators Litos and Moses, and British producer Michael Greene aka Fort Romeau. Romeau’s sound meet the ears through a fusion of house, disco, techno, ambient and kraut.
See you on the desert dance floor of Crania from 6pm onwards on April 2nd, 2022.
MORE ABOUT FORT ROMEAU:
Since debuting in 2012, British producer Michael Greene aka Fort Romeau has developed a unique take on dancefloor music, fusing elements of house, kraut, ambient, disco, and techno. His love for music and record collecting goes back much further. As a child he would join his father, an avid vinyl collector on journeys to record fairs and jumble sales, digging every weekend from the age of 8 years old. And so it was quite natural that the collector became the DJ and the listener became the musician.
Following his first album, Kingdoms (100% Silk), Greene signed to Ghostly International to release 2015’s Insides. Met with considerable acclaim, the album launched Greene into nearly five years of playing and DJing all over the world and regularly at some of Europe’s most revered club spaces. In that time he started his own label Cin Cin, sharing split EPs from established names and newcomers alike, and released singles and EPs on labels such as Live At Robert Johnson, Permanent Vacation, Phantasy Sound, and Running Back. His work also appeared on compilations from Rush Hour, Cocoon, Correspondant, and Mule Musiq. In 2018, he self-released the summer anthem “Pablo” hailed a Best New Track by Pitchfork and delivered his first BBC Radio One Essential Mix.
ABOUT THE LOCATION: CRANIA
Reclaiming the land. More than a project, Crania is a movement. A movement honoring bold expression and the post-funk-tionalism of spaces and structures.
Birthed in an ethereal paradise on the coast of Baja California, landmarked with its iconic-abandoned and re-purposed cranes; Crania seeks to propose a new perspective.
See you there!
