KIDS ACTIVITIES
1pm Storytelling
Storytelling has been a part of all cultures since the beginning of spoken language. For all of time, it has taught generation after generation how to understand emotions, relationships, and how to move through this world authentically.
2pm Body in motion- Dancing
Discovering the presence of the body and all of the possibilities in movement, rhythm and synchronicity with others.
3pm The Heart of the circus
Learn how to move and work within a team, unveiling confidence, agility, and refined motor skills. Discovering the joy that lies underneath discipline and the tolerance of frustration
4 pm Art in your hands
Our hands carry the power of creation, fun, and beauty. With many different ways to express these divine powers, we explore our artistic expression to begin the new year.
5 pm Playing in theater
Theater is more than just a platform of entertainment. With theater, we learn to express and release real human emotions and experiences, as the audience connects and relates to the stories our entire presence on the stage will tell. This stimulus of creativity allows the imagination to flow as we embody emotions, ideas, and confidence.
FACE PAINTING
HOLISTIC ACTIVITIES
2 pm Capoeira
Practiced with live music from indigenous instruments of Africa and South America, this martial-art-dance fusion liberates us from the internal slavery of the mind.
2pm and 6pm Temazcal
Feel rebirthed, transformed, and more deeply connected to yourself and purpose with a cleansing, traditional temazcal curative ceremony led by: Haske Yilnayah Coyote to purify the body, mind, and spirit.
3:30pm Breathwork
The breath is responsible for regulating our nervous system, our emotions and the rhythms of the mind. With these practices, we learn to harness these rhythms and intentionally release emotions, reveal unspoken desires, and express these otherwise repressed experiences through catharsis.
4:30 Gratitude Ritual
6pm Sunset Yoga
Hatha yoga is a practice introduced to the ancient sages 500 years ago to train the body to be comfortable in its stillness. It is preparation for meditation. Allowing the polarizing differences in our nervous system to find an equilibrium, so we can create a better tomorrow.
7:30 pm Mayan Astrology
Joaquin teaches us the pre-classical folklore of Mayan Astrology through storytelling and folk-lore, while we lay back and remember a time before modern technology. When our only technology was the patience to gaze at the sky with a naked eye, and record the pattern we saw.
8:30 pm Sound healing
Bathed in the mystical sounds of the Star Collector's Universe, we find ourselves surrendering into psychic sound as we are bathed in the sound of instrumental grace. Music is the greatest gift to humans. The awareness that bridges silence and sound transports us to a new realm of self-awareness.
Papaya Playa Project reserves the right of admission for security reasons. There is a ticket validation process that all guests must go through upon entry.
