Formed via a collaboration with their local book-shop, Ivor Novello nominated composers Beth Porter and Ben Please would write songs inspired by the books of the visiting authors, to be performed in front of them, above the shop. Since their formation in 2010, they have worked with hundreds of authors, toured the world and gained plaudits from both the literary and music worlds. Their latest album, Emerge, Return was recorded and produced by none other than rock legend Pete Townshend (The Who). No prior knowledge of the books required as the band guide you through the books that have inspired them. A magical evening of music awaits, and hopefully you'll take away some great new book recommendations as well.
