BENT On Record is back for it’s 9th session. Having built a community of like minded individuals, we are coming back stronger and focused on an experience driven by the people themselves.
We’re mixing things up with a Saturday hang this time and kicking back with one of 2019’s uplifting releases - UNDERWATER by Hindustani singer/songwriter, BAWARI BASANTI a.k.a. Mahima Dayal Mathur! Released independently as a 3 track EP with the special inclusion of a midnight track - Izehar; each song stems from a different mood. Each has a different compositional & emotional approach. The only binding factor for all four tracks is that they are trying to express that particular emotion with all its honesty. The EP includes Chalein Kahin, Underwater & Kya Bolein. As Bawari writes, "No human feels the same way at all times. There are so many ways of expression, and each song uses a distinct style that best expresses that feeling."
That’s not all…we’re excited to present our new section #BENTFocus featuring independent artwork on exhibition & sale. For this session we feature RuiningMagazines a.k.a. Zahra Baldiwala - an artist whose goal is to deconstruct the image to such an extent, that it entirely becomes something new. Something unrecognizable, you could even say something ruined.
Along with the music & the art work we’re hosting a small flea market with homegrown small businesses; our partners selling at the session -
